How to make an animation in Photoshop
Start from scratch
Open Photoshop
Window - workspace - video & film - yes to apply menu
File > new (see image) preset - film & video > size - NTSC DV > width 720 height 480 > ok
To Load an image (file open > select > drag your image onto your animation file
Copy the layer (drag to the bottom of the layer panel - to the tool 2nd from the left)
Now move the new layer copy to bellow your first layer
Select your new layer
Command T > adjust your layer to be different from the previous layer
Repeat - copy layer etc
Now you have animation frames at the bottom also seen as layers at the side
You can manipulate a frame (layer) at a time but you must have both frame and selected
Have a play with the animation timeline
Try the onion skin
Export - render video - quicktime
Use a group (stack) of existing images
Prepare files - make jpegs the same size - put them in a folder
Open Photoshop
Window - workspace - video & film - yes to apply menu
Choose File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack
Use files (or your folder) > browse (select your files or folder) > OK
Now you have animation frames at the bottom also seen as layers at the side
You can manipulate a frame (layer) at a time but you must have both frame and selected
Have a play with the animation timeline
Try the onion skin
Export - render video - quicktime
